Stories like Learning Curves by Jay Cantrell

airborne ๐Ÿšซ

Any stories like Learning Curves, where the MC or MC's family runs a huge company (CEO,CFO, Secretaries, Attorneys involved) where the MC slowly evolves into the top dog. And also includes a dash of normal romance.

No harem.

Thanks!

You could try Suddenly Rich Kid by Argon:

https://storiesonline.net/s/22004/suddenly-rich-kid

Stripper gets pregnant from an heir to a fortune. Years later the heir finds out and takes the boy into his family. Kid starts on getting an education towards joining the family business. Can't give you more without spoilers.

That sort of stuff makes up part of the sub-plots in the early part of Shiloh.

Too Much Love by Tom Frost.

https://storiesonline.net/s/16175/the-billionaire-life

Orphaned boy brought up by his socialist step dad turns 18 and learns he is the heir to his dead fathers trust fund, which generates 12 million a week and comes with a massive extended family of scheming plutocrats. One of my favorite stories on SOL. Incomplete but very long, so worth reading.

Kenny the Kansan by Open Book. IIRC adopted son starts at the bottom and moves up in the family business. Haven't read it in a decade so I can't give you more.

His Daddy's Car by BobbyBrandt may get there, at the moment the kid is still in school and concentrating on playing sports. Very slow to update.

Just to note, Too Much Love was renamed The Billionaire Life. It does contain harem elements, in that the MC has a rotating cast of girlfriends, some at the same time.

Jason Samson has a tale with British kids building a retail empire while still at school. https://storiesonline.net/s/20191/sixteen

Some I can think of that might fit what you're after:

Odd Job by WTSman https://storiesonline.net/s/66268/odd-job

May I suggest two of Dual Writer's stories. Each is a gentle love story. Baldly Ozark Life depicts an orphan who goes from being a poor trapper and farmer to become a lawyer. He eventually establishes one of the largest law firms in Missouri. More fully it is really the story of the love of generations of two families and their joining through marriage of two of their decendents and how they retain their "down-home values" as some of them become some of the wealthiest people in the world.

The second story I think that meets your request is more well-known, Recluse and Ghost. This is not a boy to manhood story; it is a story of a man who becomes far more than he believed possible and the gentle love he has for his family as he increases the wealth of everyone around him. There may be a touch of a menage in this but it is not really a major element in the plot.

@airborne

There are a surprising number of similarities between Phil's mother in "Learning Curves" and Regan's mother in "Unforgettable Weeks" by the same author.

@Dinsdale

That's rather like the similarities between a trained attack dog and a wolf, though.

A New Past by Charlie Foxtrox is a do-over story in which the "kid" uses his knowledge of the future to introduce innovations earlier in time and build a fortune in the process. It's a long series and you'll find it takes many chapters to get to the point where he's building his company, but it was a quite enjoyable book.
