i'm looking for a story in which the main character is broken almost beyond repair (be it due to the actions of another person or not) and he meets a woman or 2 that make it her/their life mission to not only repair him but build him into something bigger than even he ever thought possible.
This is actually more common than you think.
Big Ed Magusson's "Compassionate Courtesan" stories go there (damaged MC is 'healed' by the attention of a SP)
A few Swarm Cycle stories revolve around a MC 'damaged' by previous relationships and built back up by his new harem.
One could argue Happy Harry's tales qualify (although the Goddess might take umbrage at being referred to as "a woman or 2")
ElSol's Bring Me To Life sorta qualifies (MC gains serious powers, but it's so outside his experience that the women around him build him up more than anything he does)
And ISTR some superhero origin story in which the MC was paralyzed and the experimental treatment (devised and applied by hot geek chick) that was meant to heal him actually granted him his powers...
