I am looking for stories where a good guy turns into an asshole due to his experiences with people or life in general.
I don't care if the guy has a redemption arc or not.

Uh, I believe Reluctant_Sir did one like that.

Many mind control stories (longer ones) tend to use that story arc (the whole 'power corrupts' trope).
Also, check the "Kenny the Kansan" series.
