Looking for intense stories, or those with suspense.

English is not my first language so I don't know how to express this, but I like stories that don't shy away from the dark and grim. I also look to those that keep me at the edge of my seat after reading a nice not dark and grim story.

I'm looking for those like Dominion by sage, or Tom's adventure. Or something with intrigue like elevated.

Or anything you might suggest that touch adventure/action or stuff like that.

They should at least have 1mb in size as I prefer to invest in longer stories.

I read some OP mc stories but the lack of opposition put me off a bit as I continued and knew they would win everytime.

Dominion was the same until they introduced a new perspective other than his.

I am still new to the site at least, please take care of me.

So, if I read this right, you like a decent action adventure, possibly into thriller territory?

There's a few really well written ones by Lazlo Zalezac:
Hunter, Country Boys, and his Jade Force series. Maybe even Pfand X.

While in Lazlo's territory, his Damsels in Distress universe is probably another good choice for you.

TechnicDragon's Mind Magi series is another possibility.

If I knew more exactly what you were versus weren't looking for, I'd probably have better targeted suggestions.

I'm open for anything with great world building, and or historical. That's why I liked these stories as they,

A. Are set in an alternative Universe "Undead in Dominion" while still dark and grim. A villain perspective is very new and refreshing from what I normally read.

B. Set in the wild west exploring both indian and white settings of the time. Although the harem sometimes feel forced, some romance route take the psychological ish approach such as gratitude or stockholm syndrome.

C. Set in a modern time with relatable settings but somewhat entirely roman culture. What I really like about this is the out of the norm approach of the MC from the society in the story and the increasing intrigue of the plot.

I also read FantasyLover but the sex is more implied and as far as I have read things mostly go the MCs way.

Thanks for the suggestion! I will try them right away and see if this preference of mine right now is called this thriller thing.

Ok, the Jade Force and Damsels in Distress stories are most likely to be your thing of those (alternate history with numerous parallels to reality, and then a science fiction-enforced fantasy adventure world)
The others weren't so much different settings than the 'real world'.

Spirit Quest should interest you - time travel piece with a MC who's been prepared for the journey back, and the changes he brings to the past.

Game World by The Blind Man should appeal too.
