This is from one of Radio Guy's stories, "Brittany and Chad".
I suspect you will like it.
"It was winter out on the plains many years ago. A small bird had been caught outside and fallen to the ground almost frozen. A farmer came by. He saw the bird and took pity on it. Looking around, he saw some fresh, steaming manure. He took the bird in his hand and pushed the bird into the pile up to its neck. The manure was hot and did the trick. The bird revived and began to chirp. A wolf heard the bird, pulled it from the manure, and ate it.
"Now, there are three morals to this story. First, the one who puts you in it is not always your enemy. Second, the one who gets you out of it isn't always your friend. Third, when you're in it up to your neck, keep your mouth shut!" We all had a big laugh.
