Does anyone know of a good time travel (not DoOver) story where the MC doesn't suddenly have ROB (Random Omnipotent Being) decide to hand them a whole pile of stuff to make sure they can conquer the world easily? I don't mind the MC having a pile of stuff when he traveled, at least if the author comes came up with a reasonable explanation for them, as in https://storiesonline.net/s/18187/robledo-mountain but I really get annoyed when the author dumps some more stuff on the MC to eliminate what looked like an interesting plot.

I've read Robledo Mountain (although the sequels develop other issues)

Anyone know other good time travel stories?

Unfinished and now archived, but Warlord started a western similarly to robledo mountain (competitive cowboy shooter/gun nut gets sent back with weapons, tools, reloading equipment, and a shitload of ammo). Rotedrachan did one similar, although it was to a alternate history (and the MC and his initial GF were sent by the old gods, but they weren't given anything he didn't have already, although he was a gun collector and gunsmith).

Technically Fountain of Youth was a time travel story rather than a DoOver, because the MC ended up in someone else's body. But on that subject, the Wagons Ho stories from Lazlong would also qualify (although they're also archived now).

Then there's The Scot's Gunslinger.
