only reason I knew about them is someone brought one to Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village in Dearborn, Michigan USA to their car show.

I immediately thought 'shouldn't that be Lamborghini?' as I knew they started by making farm equipment, but a quick google told me that Porsche branched out into that field :)

I did some of that myself. Porsche doesn't actually manufacture them itself (due to government regulations).
the original ones were based on a design by the founder of Porsche but are actually manufactured under a license from Porshe by another company that already manufactured farm tractors.
