Unless the MC dies a very nasty death in the end I would not read that story.
It's like these kids that claim to be Anarchists, I ask them if they know what it means and they say it means they can do whatever they want because there's no rules or laws. Rass Senip's Tim the Teenage MC (and the updated version which is several books) would be close to what you want. Also, a lot of Ka Hmmd's stories...

FYI - Ka's characters tend to be good guys, even while they're badasses. "Tim" gets pretty damn dark and out of control at times.
