Kathy Andrews is an author on this site

GLCFAN2 ๐Ÿšซ

Kathy Andrews is not an author on this site! The Kathy Andrews stories on this site are reprinted Greenleaf classics books from the 80's. There is no Kathy Andrews erotic author , the name is just a " Ghost name". But the style of whoever was the author is what is original.

There are stories for that author posted in the last year.

Anything from the 80s would still be under copyright, so Lazeez wouldn't be posting those.

Wanna bet?

Here is one of the stories by "Kathy Andrews":

And one of the early covers, circa 1984:

If you see "Novel-Pocketbooks", that means it is a reprint of an old erotic book, from the 1970's or 1980's. The main publishers of these was Greenleaf and Beeline. Both companies are long gone now, and they are frequently sold online, as there does not appear to be any rights holder left to enforce such copyright.

These are generally known as "Orphan Works". Legally the material is protected, but without anybody with clear ownership of such works, no action is ever taken. I read an article years ago of somebody who tried to track the owners of these two companies down. Even the owners on the legal paperwork appeared to be as fictitious as the authors of the books, and in the over 20 years since they closed down they have never tried to enforce those copyrights.

Bet what, that Lazeez isn't the one posting them?

I am the one posting them. They're orphaned works. There are several sites around that sells them too (even though they don't have a copyright).

Orphan works are practically public domain.

I see the man spoke for himself.

And this is not the first time this has been brought up in here. And I remember Lazeez stating he was the one that was doing it. Almost anything with that "Novel-Pocketbooks" tag is such a posting.

Always wondered what the tag meant. Now I know, thanks.

As an author, I can not even use that tag if I wanted to. There are many that are blocked off from us using for one reason or another, that is one of them.

There is also a "Novel-Classic" tag which is similar, but the work in question is in the public domain.

Most are either ones that had once been in use but since removed (Lolita), or were only for internal use I imagine, and we were never able to use them.

I find many of the older novels funny. When compared to more "modern stories", they are almost all universally bad.

Earlier this year in the Author area here, I posted a quote from such a story that actually had me laughing. The writing was rather funny, and used wordage that would never be seen in a "modern" story.

Brandy felt the heated cream gush from her snapping cuntal mouth as she slipped out of her clothes and hung them on the back of the office door.

And some info on those that wrote such:

https://web.archive.org/web/20120614235644/http://www.jophan.org/mimosa/m26/resnick.htm

https://www.nytimes.com/2015/02/08/magazine/my-dad-the-pornographer.html

Now Kathy Andrews was a name mostly used for incest stories, but also delved into pee and scat. And those kinds of stories should not be hard to find in here.

I decided to dig a little digging, and came up with one possability.

Kathy Hogan Trocheck, who is 66, and has worked under the pen names Mary Kay Andrews, Mary Kathleen and Andrew Trocheck. I read several references to these being early works of hers, likely made when she was still a student in order to make a buck.

She is about the right age to have written them, and the similarities in pen names is remarkable.

It's a pity https://storiesonline.net/a/kathy-andrews does not accept emails, otherwise someone could ask her if she is the same person.

Ok, now that all that has been settled. Would like to read more stories in the Kathy Andrews style.

I read some of these books when they were first published.

In the 1960s I was in grad school and had a friend who was really into science fiction. He had invested in a minor science fiction publishing house that also published this kind of porn. Regularly, I think it was once a quarter, they would send him copies of all the books they had published the previous quarter - sci-fi and porn. I seem to recall the porn was published under the Black Cat Library imprint.

We would sit around drinking beer while we read amusing passages to each other. My friend said an author was paid $1,000 per book. That's equal to more than $8,000 in today's dollars.

All sorts of people wrote these books for extra income. According to my friend, a lot were teachers. One of the authors wrote an amusing main stream work, The Man Who Wrote Dirty Books, about his experiences. It can be found for sale online if you're interested. I read it a while ago, and as I recall found it entertaining.
