The other tread inspired me to create my own (to avoid hijacking that).
I haven't read crossdressing stories because what I understand are the main themes deter me: I find sissies one of rare truly abhorrent kinks, and male gay sex in general doesn't do a thing for me, although I'm not totally against it (being my self a tiny bit bi-, less than 5% off the totally straight, and believing everyone is, just refuse to admit it (out of fear or irrational hiccups)).
What I would like to read sometimes (or even possibly eventually write) would be something akin my own experiences being a strikingly beautiful girl for a few winterfest masquerades in my teens, perhaps exaggerated and extended up to eleven.
So, a guy who is perhaps still a little bit shy and not very experienced, but very much not repressed and while perhaps introvert, very much self assured and perhaps even a bit of a jerk and asshole, who doesn't have any specific fetish for wearing female underwear or femininity in general, but nevertheless may doll up in long dress and stuffed bra to confidently stroll around in high heels... just to change in military boots and go hunting the next day, for example.
It's not a lifestyle, not even a serious kink on itself, rather means to a goal, a perceived necessity, or even just pure situational fun like aforementioned masquerade, lost wild bet, or whatever. He's likely a person impossible to be seriously embarrassed no matter what, still, keeping his female identity secret may be a plot point.
While he is presenting a female he might, for example, and by no means exhaustive:
- enter "forbidden land" by planned design or opportunity, or accident (for example, I was enthusiastically invited in unsuspecting girls bedrooms, first by a little girl to demonstrate dolls, but it soon went to fashion show by an older teen, while another nearly died from suppressed laughter knowing very well who's under my outfit);
- follow, manipulate or protect a woman or women;
- mercilessly tease knowing guys, proving they can't see past the picture, mostly for pure fun;
- deal with advances from unsuspecting guys,
-- eventually making fools of them for fun,
-- manipulate guys, "getting things done" towards an overarching plan,
-- possibly considering some of the propositions (especially if first in this sub-list fail and second is still necessity);
- ideally it never goes into blatantly non-consensual situations either way, with either gender, but there may be close calls, consequences and counterattacks.

A flipped gender situation, the classic where a girl is disguised as a man for (mostly) external cause or purpose, was what I naively expected to be the main theme of the whole crossdressing category initially. So yes, while that's quite a different animal, I would gladly accept such suggestions in this tread too.
