There are many stories of men discovering that they're not the father of the child(ren). In some of these, the man leaves and cuts every contact with the wife and also with the kids.
Are there any stories from the POV of the child? Specially one where before the breakup the child is in his/her dad-is-a-fossil teenage angst phase?

The only one I can think of off the top of my head is Oyster50' Bill and Hayley and/or Bill, Hayley and Deena, but this is missing the dad-is-a-fossil, and Deena's view is not the main thread of the story. Update for links later, unless someone beats me to it.
In Bill 'N' Hayley, Bill discovers that he is not Deena's biological father and that Hayley is Deena's half-sister (same father). Bill and Deena's relationship changes into something else in the rest of that chapter and in Bill, Hayley and Deena.
Friend in Need by Heathen57 has this as a big reveal, but it's of less overall importance than it might be, partly since the father isn't present spare for one brief episode.

Actually, the reveal is that he MAY not be the father. But yes, except for that one episode he's not present in his son's life.
In my opinion there's not much chance he might be his biological father by how the scene was presented. True, some ambiguity remains, but more just in that he will never know who is.
(Further discussion about the reasoning might be too much of a spoiler, even if only of that single episode.)
