Fantasy

Tera

Hi, I've recently been reading fantasy stories here (The Black Rabbit, A Break From Destiny, Sea King, Quest For Knowledge, Sword Saint most recently) and I'm itching for more. I prefer stories that's more about adventure than city/civilization/world-building.
I don't care if it's a story with much sex or none at all, but if there's non-consensual sex I prefer it to happen off-screen.

The 'Tales of Nowy Poland' by Invid Fan is a series of stories of an Earth teen taken to an alternate universe where he is the heir to the throne of Poland, and the struggles to find a new homeland after the destruction of their former one.

Tales from Mist World by Anotherp08

it is a scifi fantasy with action and adventure... and terrible spelling. The story is enjoyable despite the editting issues.

Castaway: Von's Haven by Feral Lady is a SF story, but the it reads more like fantasy.

Legacy of a Legend by StarFleet Carl is not bad, and quite long.

The solitary arrow by Mack the knife.

@brev

If you're going for The Solitary Arrow, pretty much anything else by Mack the knife would qualify. He wrote himself into a corner in the best story (Murder Isle) and it was never finished.

brev

Yep that was the one. And you are correct a lot of his stories are great.
I always have problems getting links to work properly. =/

Thank you for that comment. I'll take not bad any day. :)

I'll add my vote to the not bad column. I just wished the game had expanded in a different direction than it did.

That one of the reasons I play the game with mods, so you can do other things, and why I took things the way I did after the "completion" of the game in the story.

In the for what it's worth department, I doing the same thing in the Fallout 4 universe.

@Remus2

Just finished the series, it was good but it was somewhat disappointing to me as it had the potential to be great. My main issue was that the writer got rid of so many characters that seemed interesting before you even got the chance to get to know them! It happened more than once that I thought "Oh this character is cool, it will be fun to see how he/she will.... oh nevermind he/she is dead".

Anyhow, thanks for the recommendation!

@Tera

I agree. It is a good story, but could have been great if the characters had a longer life expectancy.

Justice Resurrected by Celtic Bard

If you want to try sci-fi adventure, here's:
The Private by Random Writings
https://storiesonline.net/s/69860/the-private
It's not finished and prob never will be but it's good enough at the last chapter...I just think of it as a never ending story.

Oh man! This isn't on SOL but rather an old published series of novel but one of the best character driven fantasy and adventure!

Sword Dancer by Jennifer Roberson

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/127645
It has rape as the premise for Del's background and an offscreen rape 75% in the first book but the rest of the series have no rape.

But beside those hangups, which I notice your other rec posts that you don't like, it has a really well written romantic subplot.

I'll check out The Private. I think I've read Justice Resurrected, it seems familiar.

I've read about 3 or 4 books of Tiger & Del, and it was alright, but I got really tired of the same formula that was used over and over again. I don't know how many times they got tricked or caprured by men who found Del attractive, but when it happened again and again, I burned out on it. Other than that it was pretty good if I recall.
