Looking for civilsation building Stories

Rawwbot ๐Ÿšซ

Title says it, im looking for som Civilisation Building stories like "Snatched" from cmsix or "A Close Call" from aubie56.

Stories dont have to be in the far past, they can also be after Apocalypse Type Event.

What im not looking for are Stories where the Main Character is actively looking for more Mates

Greetings from Germany

"Spirit Quest" and "The Earls Man" are great stories, read both of them multipe times and still enjoy reading them.

Al Steiners Aftermath, a very good Story. One of the few stories i wished there was a good ole Paper-Version of it.

Im just reading "Super Flu" by dirtycopper and so far i like it

Any other Civ building / rebuilding stories to recommend?

@Rawwbot

A time travel/nation builder type as well, there's also the Robledo Mountain series.

Fantasy Lover has two more tales you might enjoy.

Bio-Terrorism Aftermath is a story of post-apocalyptic warfare.

Of Honor and Betrayal is a story of a man who was forced to choose between oaths. Somewhat similat to The Earl's Man.

Getting By by ShakesPeer2B is another post-apocalyptic scenario. There's a sequel that, for some reason, I didn't spot at the time and I've never gone back for it.

'Getting Ahead' is the incomplete follow-up story to 'Getting By'

Shakespeer2B also has a set of short stories set in the same universe, the Justiceman stories.

Many of the time-travel novels have civilization building or acceleration as a major theme. You may want to take a look at http://do-over.wikifoundry.com/page/Far+Past+Time+Travel.

An example is Hawk, the Stone Age Spirit Guide by Paul Phenomenon.

If we are getting into mainline, dead tree authors, there is 'If This Goes On' by Heinlein. Revolt against a theocracy, and rebuilding civilization afterwards.

You've also got the Close Call, parts one and two from Aubie56. Ex-ranger gets sent back in time to Clovis era North America, and builds a better civilization than the one he left.

I have a hard time reading such stories. Rare is the author who can seemlessly tie in the technical aspects. Some stories like Al Steiner's "Aftermath," skirt around it. To someone with a background in materials and mechanical engineering, skirting around it makes far better reading than using outright impossibilities.
For someone without that background, I doubt it would matter. If you're in that group, all of the recommendations thus far are probably good. Aftermath would be the only one here I could recommend if not.

If you don't mind the mates finding the main character, you might like to try Nowhere Man by Gordon Johnson. It's in progress but updated regularly.

Magestic by gwresearch definitely fits the bill, on a planetary scale. It's one of the best books SO has to offer IMO.

He has his own Web site and reading the associated stories can help. K2 is also a very good story and has associated stories too.
