Hi anyone got suggestions on any stories like Mike and Malok? That was a worth reading..
Thank you
You didn't say what particularly grabbed you about 'Mike and Malok', but some of The Blind Man's stories might fit the bill.
Although as yet unfinished (hint hint), 'The Loser' by Capt. Zapp might also appeal.
AJ
I like stories where MC is some where there is no civilization n he start building it slowly with some outside help.. Any suggestions?
By the way I've done done reading The Blind man's stories... Loved 'Gateway'.. Wanna read something like that
So many stories...
Cmsix has a number of stories in this category, many incomplete but still a good read. He just had a hard time wrapping up a story.
Aubie56 has a few as well though some of his are back to the old west.
Times of old by Ernest Bywater
The Aina Timeline series of stories by Hammingbyrd7 are in the ballpark.
Desert Dream by Crunchy is good but no assistance.
Spirit Quest by FantasyLover though only 1500 years back.
Bob's Great Adventure by Barneyr
and if you have access to premium stories Paul Phenomenon has The Flights of Consciousness Series and Hawk the Stone Age Spirit Guide. Book 1 is NOT premium. Hawk I believe is book 4 though it stands alone as well. I am going to have to reread them I guess.
I know there are many more good stories that haven't been mentioned. I will add them as I come across them.

You are most welcome.
These stories are hard to search as there are so many variations so no one set of tags will work. The far past only brings up a few. Time Travel will bring up those sent to the past but not those sent to another planet or dimension. The Alien tag might catch a few of those where there is an alien entity involved.
Then there are the different time frames they are sent to from caveman days to the 1800's wild west and everywhere in between. It is one reason you were asked to narrow down the specifics you were looking for. I personally enjoy most of the variations though prefer those where the MC has a reasonably believable skill set.

Search term used to find these is Cro-magnon and I did the search in the story body under advanced search. Included in the results but not listed are Mike and Malok as well as 7 or 8 stories by Cmsix. ;-)

Others Terms for searching those Kind of Stories:
Neandertal
Smilodon (finds also Stories by "Smilodon")

Actually, I used neanderthal first but had over 400 hits with most of them being used to describe jocks and boyfriends. So I switched to Cro-magnon which dropped it to 68 hits with fewer boyfriend/jock references. Mammoth and smilodon would probably be good choices for the story text search feature.
@anim8ed
Also try "Atl-Atl", which is a Spear-Thrower often used in prehistoric / Far-Past Stories.
Neandertal is the Place where the remains of a prehistoric Human where found, literally Neander Valley.
Neanderthal ist a description ... :-D ;-D

If you do a text search it's wise to also search for misspellings since they occur all to often ;)
Mamooth
Spelling suggestion, they don't moo.
"A mammoth is any species of the extinct genus Mammuthus, one of the many genera that make up the order of trunked mammals called proboscideans. The various species of mammoth were commonly equipped with long, curved tusks and, in northern species, a covering of long hair. They lived from the Pliocene epoch (from around 5 million years ago) into the Holocene at about 4,000 years ago, and various species existed in Africa, Europe, Asia, and North America. They were members of the family Elephantidae, which also contains the two genera of modern elephants and their ancestors."
You may also look at http://do-over.wikifoundry.com/page/Far+Past+Time+Travel -- it uses [c] to indicate "caveman romance". Feel free to add other listings there.
some good stories listed here though in the caveman do-overs I prefer the ones where the mc doesn't get more tech than could be dreamed of ie the spirit bob and john & argent stories,,,
thanks to all for the lists,,,
Look at Howard Faxon and some of his stories, like "Five thousand years from home". There is "Bare Handed" too, and if you are willing to search you can find some other gems too.
PS.
I'm not sure why, but I think that we all have forgotten about this author.
He had many very good reads, and I can recommend a lot of them...
authors name is very familiar but can't remember which stories I've read,,,oh well go through them again :)
too bad "five thousand years from home" has been incomplete and inactive for 6+ years :(
