In a way, Lucky Jim would work, if you take into account that in the follow up explains what his "power" actually was, but the power itself is not flashy in any way.
Also, Living Next Door to Heaven, but again, power is more a strong empathy and later a bit of wuxia-power, not sure if that is flashy enough for you.
Then, Wandering Minds works halfway, the main-characters are a twins (male and female) who both have the same power and share their experiences.
Finding home (or smth like that) by Ernest Bywater might work, the MC can "command" people, mainly females, and they are pretty much powerless to resist. However it's not really portrayed as a power, and it's largely ignored by other characters (as in, assassin breaks in, is commanded and nobody questions the fact that a women who just broke in and wanted to kill the MC is now happily banging him)
