Forum: Story Recommendations

Looking for stories where dragons choose their riders or are tamed. Something similar to 'the smallest dragonboy' in the Dragonriders of pern series.
Recommendations should be here on Sol, on Lit or any other sites similar to these two. Thank you.

'The Littlest Dragonboy' is a short story in one of short story collections in the Dragonrider series. I have all of the books, and have read most of them - all of the ones written my Anne herself, and one or two of the ones continued by her son. Well worth the time to enjoy. This is definitely a case where one really should read them in the correct sequence.

I'm not advocating it, but if you are into Usegroups, the entire set was just posted in alt.binaries.e-book.

Mike Cropo's Wolves an Dragons of the Blood series comes to mind.

Well, It's four years later. Any updates or new stories?

I'm currently reading A Dragon's Tale by Antiproton.
Its fun and would make a good anime or light novel. The MC is a human isekaied as a young dragon. He has to fight the dragon's nature as well as familiarize himself with the world. He does give rides in extremis to to various female love interests. Probably not what you are looking for, but worth a look if you want a fun read in a magical medieval setting.

There is also

- the Eragon series from Christopher Paolini and

- the Temeraire series by Naomi Novik

But both are on the rainforest site...
