nonsexual Father/Daughter stories

ChiMi ๐Ÿšซ
Updated:

or 20s/30s guy is in charge of a not related young girl.

- the father has to be the main character who has responsibility for the girl

- the nonsexual part is more about the Father/Daughter pairing, so no incest. normal sex that the father or the daughter has is okay (or any other secondary character), just not between F/D.

- older brother (10+ years difference) is also ok, if he is the one responsable for her.

- "adoptive" stories like the "supposed to be true" amputee-chan and blindmute loli are also ok

- setting doesn't matter

- age doesn't matter, could even be older than 18 if the daughter has a disability and must be cared for.

Edit: doesnt matter who the POV is, either Father or Daughter

Finding Shelter by Jay Cantrell has a strong relationship between a father and a teenage daughter. It isn't the main focus of the story, but is a major part.

There's another one where the wife and older daughter are killed by a runaway car, leaving husband and younger daughter. Friend talks him into going to Disney World, and on the way they meet a flight attendant, who he talks into going along with them.

Anyone have an idea what this story would be?

The wife and oldest daughter were killed by a runaway car, I believe outside a courthouse. The husband I believe was an EMT, and identified the wife by a bracelet or tatoo on her ankle. He has a younger daughter who was not involved in the accident. A friend convinces him to take himself and his daughter on a trip to Disney World to help them get over their loss. On the way, I believe the daughter starts her first period while on the plane. Both are attracted to the flight attendant that helps her, and convince them to go with them on their visit to Disney World. The dad and the attendant end up falling in love and marrying.

Thanks for the replies.

It doesnt have to be "no sex" or "minimal sex" just that the relationship between father and daughter has to be nonsexual. Other relationships can be sexual, hell it can even be incestous between sisters and cousins, just not between the main father and daughter.

There's an ebook on Amazon called The eGirl by Michael Dalton. It's novella length and the main character is a 40-ish widower with a teenaged daughter and two young sons. His relationship with his daughter is very well written. She's working like hell to do the stuff around the house that her mother used to do, and he wants her to stop doing that and just be a teenager but won't force the issue because it might hurt her even worse.

The main plot of the book is that the widower wins an AI sexbot in a contest and finds out that she's much more sophisticated than even her designers realize. The relationship between the bot and the kids is also well done. Also, there's a fair bit of sex, because of course there is. It's worth a look, and is free to read if you have Kindle Unlimited.

Totting my own horn, my "Great Death" series has several of these elements. The daughter is pretty competent, but the main character kind of supports everyone, while the daughter both takes after him and tries to act like him.

A possible problematic issue, though, there is a strongly hinted incestuous attraction between the daughter towards her dad, though it's never acted upon, instead, she looks down on anyone who's not like her father.

She ends up being his 2nd in command, teaching everyone how to shoot and backing him up during armed conflicts.

I have no idea. It was mentioned earlier in the thread and it sounded interesting.
