I'm not sure if this is a common theme, but I'm interested in stories where the mother/father pimp out their daughters. Doesn't have to be an actual prostitution setting. Just one where they set their daughters up with other men.

Of course, often when parents do that they 'pimp' them out to certain 'kinds' of men, rather than as a form of private prostitution (i.e. trying to improve their own social standing by 'pimping' the daughter out of egotistical, overly aggressive types who couldn't get dates any other way.
So one's a form of emotional pimping than a professional one. And often, it'd include pushing them towards one particular man they otherwise couldn't stand, which typically turns out badly, and then they end up running off with some lower category 'average', common, everyday guy, often cutting ties with they parents entirely.
(Generally, I prefer the second type over the first type, as there's more likely to be the proverbial 'happy ending' for the lucky couple who escape their clutches.)
Of course, I've written a few sci-fi stories where someone (parents, temporary guardians, etc.) instead sell them off to pirates just to be rid of the more uncooperative ones, as well as one current WIP where the girl effectively pleads with a free-lance pirate in order to escape he prescribed life and finally get a chance to explore the galaxy to better her lot before finally returning home more knowledgable and experienced to do a better job than her parents ever did.
As always, there are more variants of any thematic story than you'd ordinary be thinking of.
