Once More With Feelings the POV is the other way around — the woman whose body he's now living in has his body in turn, but we don't get much of life switching that direction.
The main character of David Weber's Safehold series is a female soldier who's resurrected centuries after she died protecting humanity and has her mind placed in a male body because the isolated human colony she's sent to help wouldn't take her seriously as a woman. She has some identity issues but they're very far from a major focus of the series, which in my opinion dragged on several books too long. Might've been easier to take the bloated page count if Weber weren't so clearly enamored of his idiotic naming system. I'm not really selling the series, am I? Oh well.
You got me interested enough to search on Baen's site for "Safehold".
The search came up with "Off Armageddon Reef" by David Weber, and "not currently available".
By the description it is the first Safehold book. A male android with the memories of Lieutenant Commander Nimue Alban is awakened and given the name Merlin.
On Weber's own site there are ten books listed in the series. I looked-up the second on Amazon and read three of the reviews, two were positive and one (with a 1-star rating) expressed similar negatives as you.
This was it for me; if I really want them, I can have stories meandering over thousands of pages here on SOL for free. :-)

I tried reading the first book and got through half of it, before dropping. No character development and a whole collection of worst mistakes and misconceptions about 'medieval' and technical progress. The last is ok if you dont know shit about history, but I know some, and what I read made it unreadable to me.
And pf cource, character quickly finds good guys, who are good on all possible aspects at once, while bads are all bad.
Bullshit morals and motivations too. Like, survivor in war wigh aliens who annihilated humanity restrains herself from using a shitton of highend tech to wipe out 'enemies' HQs and armies. 29 y.o. war vet somehow has deep knowledge of spycraft, statesmanship, economy and industry in medieval conditions.

Hmm, because the war vet was transferred into an androidic robot, this android with the memories of Lieutenant Commander Nimue Alban must have other data stored in its artificial brain. At least all things necessary to function smoothly in this place and time.
So I would expect her having more knowledge available than just her – limited – own.

Odd, but almost all of them I can think of are male -> female. Mushoom's Bohica does the female -> male with two different characters, but it's a change that is temporary and under their control.
Note that in Once More With Feelings, one of the characters does go female -> male, but he's not the POV character.
I've read 'once more with the feeling a while ago, and it was great but somewhat hastly stopped. And it was a male in female.

I can vaguely remember a story which addresses the protagonist learning to pee standing up, and then learning what powerful but short orgasms it provides compared to her female body orgasms.
I think the protagonist's parents come to accept her new body, and arrange for her to go back to school with a new name, or possibly I'm conflating two stories.
Definitely on SOL, or was, and by an author who's strong on characterisation, but I can't for the life of me remember who. Perhaps those titbits will jog someone's memory.

Not very much of F>M in it, but PT Brainium's Elements of Power series has a few instances, mostly/all in book 2 I think.
By searching for 'switch' in the story descriptions, I came across several body swap stories, frequently between brother and sister, the pick of which seemed to be 'Switch Hitting' by Lubrican.
