Go-go-go!

Go-go-go!

Drama and conflict.

Accelerated social development with lots of action-action-action.

That seems to be a frequent storyline development.

Can anyone recommend tales that slow the rush-rush-rush down a bit?

You know the sort, where the protagonist and supporting characters actually take time to 'stop and smell the flowers' kinda deal?

And no, I don't mean a plodding pace where the reader could get bored, but more the author chooses words that describe the beauty of the reality surrounding the character and an appreciation of simply being alive and aware.

These sorts of descriptions allow the reader to more easily become immersed in the tale and appreciate the ensuing drama.

Several tales by https://storiesonline.net/a/Invid_Fan have these elements.

https://storiesonline.net/a/fantasylover also has some brilliant moments in some of his tales.

What are some tales or authors that you liked that fit the criteria?

Here's another example of a great tale where the author has the characters take time to reflect and smell the roses.
