The best vs The favorite

Awakelate ๐Ÿšซ

Ok, here is the question which story do you think on this site is the best written story and then which is your favorite. They are not necessarily the same thing. I am going in shortly for a total knee replacement and I definitely need reading material. Thank You for your input.

@Awakelate

For me the best written is Jat Cantrell's Dazed in the valley because it looks like either he did a lot if research in the subject or was able to pull shit out of his ass and make sound real.

My favorite would be duelwriter's Steve and Chuck stories but only their stories.

I do/did enjoy Dazed. I agree with you on the research part. That can be a seriously messed up topic.

total knee replacement

I'm sure your surgeon will tell you this, but ice your knee as much as possible. My wife had a machine filled with ice cubes (we actually supplemented the ice cubes with frozen bottles of water) and she even slept with it going (I propped her leg up with a suitcase and she slept on her back which she doesn't normally do). Icing it for almost 24 hours a day made all the difference compared to others we know who had knee replacements.

Good luck on the surgery and recovery.

I have already signed up for the machine. This will be the third major surgery and fourth overall on this knee.

I also agree that "Daze in the valley" is very good, but I think the best story is "Tangent" by Gina Maie Wylie. https://storiesonline.net/s/50382/tangent but I think my favourite is the "Needles annd Delany" series, made me laugh and cry in equal amounts. I can't argue the Needles & Delany series. Those are awesome and if you haven't read them, you're in for a real treat.

For best written, I'm going to suggest a 750 short story that manages to hit harder than stories with 20,000 words. It's A Few More Tomorrows. I warn you, it's heavy.

For something much lighter, check out Raine, on her Parade. It's just pure fun! I read it at least once a year.

I'm not sure I could pick either a best, or a favorite. Several competing for those honors.

Among the best, and a current favorite is the Variation on a Theme series by Grey Wolf. Book 4 will be finishing soon, then on to Book 5!

It is not finished, and might never be. However, 84 some well written chapters of The Demigod of War is a very interesting story of a disabled veteran being selected to participate in a Virtual Reality MMPOLRPG that turns out to be much more! It is currently stopped with several significant plot points resolved, but is clearly intended to continue. I think it is worth reading, even if Mad Wolf never completes it.
