A guy meets an alien that seeks to consume him until death impregnating a little clutch of his friends. There's some really loving sweet moments in it with a little X-Files-y twinge to it. Maura and Agent Parker are some of my favorite leading women I've written.
It differs a little from what you ask in that it covers the first half of the pregnancies and then jumps to the births for the epilogue. But conflict drives the story and once the conflict ends, the story has to jump ahead.
Have you found the stories by Homer Vargas yet? Oh my! As I remember every female in his stories is pregnant or will be before the story ends. These stories are oldies but they are still goodies.
