Also it's hit and miss on finding a description on how much dick the woman is swallowing.

It's just my opinion but sections of stories with oral sex involved should be given more care and not be rushed. These sections of stories, if written properly and with some patience can be downright molten hot.

Most descriptions I've read just show the writer's lack of knowledge.
Deep throating is about passing the dick down the esophagus.
It's the very same procedure as sword swallowing:

(Due to some errors my story has the name of the second chapter.
