Just need another set of eyes to read through and find the really obvious double words and typos after I've done my edits and such. Helps to be familiar with Anglo and Australian English and spelling.

You may get more interest if you mentioned what type of story it is - the tags help people to know if they do or don't won't to help with it. I've copied this URL on to one of my editors to see if they're interested. However, I know they'll want to know what the story subject matter is.

Had this passed to me. I do some proof reading for a few writers. Just to warn you, I can get a bit icky on some subjects, but this looks OK at the moment. I will go through what has been posted and mark in red what I think may need looking at by you. We can go from there.
BTW, is KIM a female or male name; just so I can be a tad clearer POV. Incidentally, I am OZ.

Another minor point ... proofreaders will want to know how much work they would be agreeing to do.
Always mention the word count in any request. I guess the 170 KB posted so far comes to 30-35K words.

You obviously don't need to be told this, but for the information of potential proofreaders out there, this one is about as easy as they get.
I read about the first half-dozen paragraphs. There are no "major problems", just an average of about one per paragraph of the typical sort of typos and errors that a proofreader will spot easily enough, but authors find so damn difficult to see in anything they've written.
