@themarksmn"cmsix passed away in his sleep the 25th of November, 2019. R.I.P." This is from his author page. Normally it would take 3 years for his stories to go premium. But here is what the contributors page says:
"cmsix - In Memoriam November 25, 2019
cmsix passed away in his sleep on November 25, 2019 at a nursing home, Rose Haven Retreat, in Atlanta, Texas. The Rose Haven environment and his personal situation did not allow cmsix to maintain contact with the SOL community.
In his last known contact with the SOL community, a Blog entry on March 31, 2014, cmsix described his encounter with a pair of toenail clippers (as follows with a few edits to correct typos):
First, like any good old boy (read that as redneck) I got an ingrown toenail and tried to cut it out myself with a pair of Nippy Clippers from Radio Shack. I don't blame the clippers but maybe I should have more careful to disinfect them first. Come to think of it maybe I should have done a little washing on my foot first too.
Like anyone else who can read, or even listen I had heard of gangrene before. Still and yet I wasn't prepared for the malady to be visited upon me.
Cutting to the chase, I ended up in a hospital where they tried to fix me up by amputating my toe. It didn't do the job and so about a week later they amputated my left leg BK. That means below the knee for those of you who aren't up to date with your medical terminology.
After a week or so of rehab they sent me to a place called OrPro and the nice man measured me for a peg leg.
cmsix began posting stories to SOL on December 24, 2006 and he posted his last story on August 14, 2013. During that period, he posted 57 stories to SOL. His final story, My Best Excuse for No Output Lately, is an interesting biography of his life.
