portrait mode detection (library window)

I read SOL on a portrait screen (1440 x 2560) and have to scroll to read some of the display. but this does not happen on other screens.

here the forum displays perfectly. I'm not sure if there are other screens that have this scaling/orientation issue but tonight I noticed this one.

I'd love it if this and any other screens that presently do not scale for portrait could be modified to do so if it is a natural process to detect the client setting and render the page appropriately
