For a few days (week)when I log in the next time (within 10-12 hrs.) the "Recent Stories List" is empty.
I never had this problem.

Lazeez has recently changed the story counter reset timing. It used to be your storylist was cleared (resetting the story counter) approx 24hr after your first site access when not logged in, which was confusing some users as the time could change dramatically, although for anyone accessing the site regularly the reset would tend to come at the same time each day. Lazeez has now set it to reset at a fixed time, the time being related to the internal user number. If you are accessing at say 9:00 to 10:00 and again at 18:00 to 20:00, under the old system your reset time would be either around 9:00 OR 18:00, and if it was 18:00 you would see items in the accessed list at 9:00. Now there is a fixed reset time (different for different users), if this is say 04:45 for you you would not see anything in the accessed list at 09:00 as it would already have been cleared. Your reset time is given at the top of your stories accessed list, so long as the list is not empty; this will be at the same time every day now.

I've not looked at that page since the change, although I was aware of it - my script to tell me my reset time goes there if there are no entries in my accessed list, and uses the Last Login time to work out the reset time (the old version did not have the 'counter resets' line). Looks like I need to patch my code for the new page; thanks.

My list is a bit strange, it includes two stories I last looked at a week ago.

Two things changed.
1 - List/counter reset is now at a fixed time for each account. The 'Recent Stories' and 'My Account' pages tell you when this reset occurs. (for you it's 10:45pm)
2 - How stats are gathered changed and that affects what gets listed in the 'Recent Stories' page.
2a - If you click on a serial story's title to load its index, it doesn't get listed anymore like before.
2b - if you click on a story but don't click the 'Load more text' buttons, then the story doesn't get listed either.

Can that time be changed? Mine resets at 12:45 a.m., making it totally useless to me. Whatever I was reading gets wiped out every night, there's never anything there the next morning. Might as well not exist at all.

I'll point out the obvious: A premier membership gives you access to your history thru the same page.

No. The site doesn't keep history for you if you're a free member. History keeping starts when you get premier service. If your membership lapses, then history data is kept for a maximum of 6 months, after that, if you don't renew, it's deleted.

A while ago, I modified the system to add a date when you view a story's 'more info' page to fix those without an actual date.
It will set it to the date of the story's initial post for single part stories or to the last update date if it's a serial.

That's not what the dates in your SOL history are for. It's a last accessed date.
