css updates?

I'm wondering if there were any updates to the css in the last 24 hours. My theme went wonkie and it's now black on black. If I change the theme from the hamburger and then change it back to default it's back to normal. This happens on every page load. It's currently set for white text on black background.
Also, increase and decrease font size both increase only, changing theme back and forth resets this also. Maybe a weirdness in the code for the hamburger?

No changes in the last 2 weeks.

However, there is a bug in the system that's driving me insane and I can't locate it.

So far the workaround to fix the issue is to go to the customization panel, and click 'Reset to Defaults' and start over with your customizations. That usually fixes it.

Dumb question, could an external library be at fault? Maybe recently updated?

There are no external libraries. I wrote all the code on the site, except the EPUB to .mobi converter.
