Series / universe attribution in downloaded ePub

Quasirandom ๐Ÿšซ

Enhancement request: The title page on the website lists, between the title and author, any series or universe the story is part of. The downloaded ePub does not โ€” and doesn't indicate anywhere that it's part of a series/universe.

It would be helpful if the ePub title page matched the website in this regard.

Of possible consideration: also adding a link to the series/universe at the end, as on the website.

Ok, so because I'm having a blonde moment...

The link you added ends () why?

What is supposed to be between the parenthesis and should it be automatic or is there somewhere the author should add something to show there?

Bug. The story's order in the series should be in those parentheses.

Fixed.

The story's order in the series should be in those parentheses.

I've tried a few downloads, some show a number in the parentheses, some don't.

From where does the script get the number? Is getting it correctly displayed dependant on the info the author submitted?

There are two types of series in the system. Ordered series and collections.

A story in an ordered series shows a number. Collections don't.

Just for clarification, is an "ordered series" a series where the author sets the order in which books appear in the series list?
If so, I assume a universe is considered a collection since, for example, "Tales from the Shack" is unordered. Or is it because the author didn't set an order?

Switching a universe to a series only to get the possibility to set an order sort of defeats the essence of a universe, but I can see some authors taking that route. Maybe make it possible on non-public universes too.

Yes. It's up to the author to list them in order. Although, when a new story is added during submission, it's inserted at the end of an ordered series.

Or is it because the author didn't set an order?

Authors can order stories in a universe. Unlogged visitors and free users see a universe as the author orders it.

Initial view for premier members is also by author-selected order. Premier members can re-sort the universe as they wish.

Thank you. That explains the weird order in the Tales from the Shack" universe. Todd didn't set an order so the stories are just 'ordered' in the order they were added over time.
