So many browsers using the Blink engine is a bad thing because it gives Google way too much influence in the browser market since it's the developer and maintainer of the engine.
It's not quite as bad as the old IE 6 situation, but we're getting there it seems. Too many sites now are doing the old 'works best in chrome' now. That specific support for Chrome is not a good in general for the state of the web, but Google's influence is strong enough that they've convince people that using Chrome is a good thing.
If you're concerned with privacy there's hardly any other choice left than Firefox.
Well, you have to be conscious about the implications even with Firefox. The default search engine in Firefox is still Google, so if you don't specifically switch from Google as Firefox's search engine, then you're still in the same position practically and most people using Firefox don't switch search engines.
What grates on my nerves is those who send me messages questioning me about the site tracking them and they send the messages using Chrome!
