When I try to download a file, of say 500K, I only get about 50% of it, and, of course, Books won't open it. If I choose TEXT, I get the whole file and can read it off-line, but lose all the benefits of the app Books.
I have been using SOL for, I think, twenty years and this is only the second glitch I've encountered.
I tried increasing the available storage and cold starting my iPad without success.
Is it one particular book or all of them having this problem.
This is not something that is common. Nobody else is reporting any issues with EPUB files on iPads.
What's the version of your iPad's system?

I have an iPad Air 2, and have been active on SOL for years. It is at level 14.1, and is using 14.6GB of 16GB.
The problem first manifested itself within the last few days, and is problem with large files, Lubrican's 600K and 7K stories. I'll check that is is not unique to Bob's stories right after I post this.
It seems to be unique to Bob Lubrican. I successfully downloaded and opened one of AA Nemo's and Michael Louks' books successfully. The plot thickens!
Further curiosity both Nemo's and Louks' books opened directly in Books, while Lubrican's would not. However it would download to the Files folder. When I looked at the Files folder, all three files were there, Lubrican's, Nemo's and Louks', and all with a Books icon. Clicking on Lubrican's entry opened it in Books. So a curiosity, but with a simple work-around.
Sorry if anyone was more confused by my rambling.
