Well, that would depend on how much matter was in between at the time of transfer, wouldn't it?
No more so than if I'd heard and it had gone in one ear and out the other.
In one ear and out the other is a single straight path through the brain. To go in one eye and out the other, it has to go through the brain, bounce of the back of the skull, go back through the brain to the other eye.
