Apparently there's a new process for signing on. Obviously (here I am), my user name and password work. But in the past, I was able to use a fingerprint (laptop) or Face ID (phone) to storm the gates.
So, what insider trick do I need to learn?

I can't suggest a solution, but I use my fingerprint on my MacBook Pro with the new login system and it works.
Have you tried logging out and logging back in and when it asks if you want to save your password, say yes?

The first time you log in you need to enter your credentials manually, and then your browser should ask if you want to save the log in info, allow it and after that it should auto-fill them.
