When an author posts updates to an ongoing story there is a nice highlighted note telling us which chapters have just been posted.
It would be nice if that was also a hyperlink to the new chapters.
The contents page with lists of chapters is painful to navigate on a phone! :)
The default behaviour for bookmarked serial stories is to jump to the last chapter read. If you keep that default behaviour, then it will be close to the feature you're requesting.
And if you click the 'Bookmark Next' when you finish reading the latest chapter, then you'll jump to the new chapter when it gets posted.
