Settings option: default to More Info view

HalcyonAdventure ๐Ÿšซ

I find that the majority of the time, I switch to the More Info view for a story. It has the download options, shows the dates and sizes of the chapters, and has the story details and codes visible.

Would it be possible to get a Settings option that allowed us to default to this view instead of having to click it every time?

You mean on the home page? because they are there in all the normal listings.

Anyway, I added them to the home page too.

Not quite, though that is useful too. What I meant is that when you click a hyperlink that takes you to a story's main index page, it would be nice to have a site-wide preference option that takes you to the 'more info' version instead.

It saves me from having to start from the home page, click the title hyperlink for a story, and then click the More Info link at the bottom of every story.

Think of this like the option under Library Preferences, #3, where you always see the Default List as Reading Queue, Library, Authors, etc.

I'm suggesting to add an option that says something like "Story Index Page View: Default, or More Info"

Since the more info link is available almost anywhere you find a story's title, just click it. Don't click the story's title.

Can you imagine the amount of work that is required to change all the links to stories on the site to conditional links? Let's just say that I won't be implementing this feature since there are 'more info' links everywhere (almost).

Totally fair. I was thinking more of something along the line that when the index page loads, it redirects to the More Info page if that bit is flipped.

I have no problem clicking the extra buttons on those few pages where the link isn't present.

It's good having the 'more info' links on the home page, and also that visiting a more info page does not count against the stories visited tally. Thank you! It would be nice if the more info links were also available on the story review pages, and also on the list of stories by an author.
