Hi, I follow Lumpy's "John Taylor" series and I have just noticed that the list still shows "The wrong girl" (John Taylor #4) as the last update when Lumpy is presently uploading "Family ties" (John Taylor #6).
The update string only changes when the author posts a new story and selects the series during the submission process.
It's done this way because authors can make many changes to a series after the posting happens and not all of them should be reported.
So it seems that the author didn't select the series in the submission system, but added the story to the series after it had been processed and posted. So the string doesn't change.
