I always vote when I've completed a story and for the last three or four days my attempts to vote have failed. The script doesn't complete - it gets to 'Please Wait' and never returns.
I'm using Firefox on Windoze 10 if that helps.

Probably a red herring, but are you voting from secure (https) or insecure (http) story pages?
AJ
I use Firefox on my main Linux system and my android tablet and never have an issue, but I know anyting used on a WhineDozer system is sure to be touchy.
Using Firefux NEVER helps... :)
Currently the only reliable browser, haven't used anything else for many years now. It's windblows that is the problem ;)
Is Windows a virus?
I regularly use Firefox and I've seen that behavior from time to time since the whole https/http saga began. Happened in Safari, too. Solution was logout, clear cache and cookies, login.
DO be sure to save your 'read' state with the link at the bottom of the forum page first, so you can recover it.

It's also not working for me, and the only workaround (that I found at this time) is to vote via this page: https://storiesonline.net/library/todaysAccesses.php?h=1
Edit: In case you're wondering I'm using Opera on a tablet
The annoying thing is it has worked till now. It only stopped this week. I viewing the site using using https://
Your link to todaysaccess tell me I've read nothing today. I have. :-(
I'll try 'Logout, clear cache and cookies, login.'
And see how I get on.
Thanks for all the prompt suggestions.
Part of the problem may be Firefox privacy/security settings blocking mixed active content (http with https) on the page.
At least that is what I found when I used the Firefox Inspect Element function..
Right click on the vote button and then click on "Inspect Element" then click "Console" in the window that pops up.
Any blocked content should be listed under Errors and Warnings
I'm using Firefox 68.0.2 with very restrictive privacy settings.
I have also had problems, and, although I can't see error messages because I'm on iPhone, I am sure its caused by the mix of http and https. Really, SOL needs to go all-https again ASAP!
I suspect there are still issues. I just got timed out on the https version of a forum page.

I'm still having problems with voting, too - every time I try to vote I get a message:
"Error! You need to log in to vote"
No vote appears to be recorded. I was logged in every time I tried this, and I double-checked. I tried deleting all cookies and history, cleared caches and restarted the browser, and short of removing my entire browser profile, I can't think of anything else to try... Help!
I got this answer from the webmaster;
This is related to the ongoing https/http issue. Whenever we
switch to pure https, the site slows down and eventually stops
responding. So we're using a mix of http/https because the
changes would be too extensive to go one or the other.
if it doesn't work in https, then remove the 's' from the page's
address leaving the http:// in place. If it's the reverse, then
add an 's' to make it https.
We're rebuilding our servers with new design, using different
software to deal with this issue, but it will take about week to
finish testing the new build and few days to deploy it and solve
the problem.
Ahh, yes! Thanks zellus, a timely reminder for me. The voting worked fine with http connections, failed with that error message in https connections...
I guess we wait till the problems get resolved, and secure connections apply everywhere again. Has Lazeez got any hair left, or has he pulled it all out by now? :D
