Yeah, it does make it more cluttered & difficult to read.
Maybe a space between the author's name and the : would help?

I mustn't visit the home page often enough, because, to me, it looks just like it did the last dozen or so times I looked at it. I keep My Library - Favorite Authors page and the New Stories page open and regularly check them, so I rarely go to the actual Home page.

I made two changes:
1 - Author names aren't on the right hand side of the page anymore. They're right beside the stories' titles.
2 - I moved the download buttons for premier members to the bottom of each entry's box.
That's it. All the complaints so far are about the author name not being flush on the right.
