Would it be possible to add an option to set the default pen name being used to access author features? Something along the lines of 'A', 'B', or 'No Default' (for compatibility with the current forced choice). I always post with a specific pen name (the other one is legacy and held only so nobody uses it in the future to cause confusion).

If you got to the Home page and select the My Account option you will have a list of Account Info and Preferences, the third one down is Nick Name. On the right of that is a hotlink Change, click on that to open a screen where you can type in a nickname of your choice which will then be the default option of your forum posts and similar messages within the SoL system.

And you can use it even if your name isn't Nick.

When I go there, I only get a screen that lets me change my nickname, not select the default (though it does show there). But, when I go to the author page, it defaults to the 'wrong' name and the posting page has no default.
FWIW, I've noticed that too. I'd appreciate the facility as well, although it's hardly the end of the world if it's not doable.

Well, there is something that saves you more clicks in that regard. Posting templates.
Next time you start a new serial, after the first chapter is posted on the site, use the posting system to start posting a chapter, and then save as template. After that you can simply click a link to select pen name, serial and many other attributes in one click.
I'll still look into a default pen name, but meanwhile, the posting templates are a huge time saver for posting chapters for an existing serial.
