Search engine sorting

Switch Blayde ๐Ÿšซ

The results of a Forum search appear in ascending sequence. i would guess someone doing a search would be looking for a recent post (as I was) so wouldn't it make more sense to list the results in descending sequence? Most recent first.

Or at least allow us to re-sort to descending.

The plain text search sorts be relevancy. It's not by date or any other criteria.

I can't even make it sort by anything other than relevancy. So no option for sorting criteria. It's the same style as Google or other net search engines.

Oh. it looked like oldest-first. Thanks.

It is available in the advanced search option, way down near the bottom.

You can sort by any field, in ascending or descending and jump to a specific page.

I was talking about the Forum search, not SOL's search.

Ah, sorry, my bad.

I've complained about this previously. I think it's a real pain. When I search the forum it's usually for a fairly recent topic, so it's annoying you seem to get the oldest matches first :(

still the same way and it sucks as far as I'm concerned...especially when there there are 100's and 100's and 100's of results...
