I will preface this with may be on my end as I will explain.
I seem to be getting unreliable and unpredictable 'back' experiences with both back button bound via software to a mouse button as well as the back link as part of the download page.
when I return to the author page it forgets my sort preferences but keeps the right radio button so according to my set action and the radio button it should be date ascending but I get descending my default option in preferences.
it does this appropriately 1/4 of the time and I can find no cause nor solution. OS Win 11, browser is Brave with minimal plugins, not used others recently i.e. since behaviour started. was previously using *nix and Chromium 9+ months ago.
so why my end? there is similar but much less frequent behaviour in the steam app which is essentially a very highly customized Chromium build. it will double or even triple back when using the bound mouse button. there is no back link to test with.
I've eliminated extrainious clicks by changing grip and selected button. not sure how else to test or avoid.
I estimate problem has been occurring for approximately 3 weeks. there is one other issue that is 'known in Windows 11' where the word shortcuts from the 'on screen keyboard' will randomly drop letters from the selected word. the whole word should 'print' but letters, normally mid word, randomly drop. this is not an issue of missed or double clicks as this is essentially a macro command.
not sure how else to debug these issues and fault check. happy to take most advice.
