Mine is still alphabetical. You can change the sort order by clicking on the heading of a column.
I'm not a paying member but I've been on this site over 10 years. Maybe if I deleted site and rejoin it will change?

That sounds drastic. Click on the "Contact" link and send the question to Lazeez.
That should not be necessary, he monitors most of the forums and this one (Bug Report and Feature Requests) in particular.
He's in a different time zone so I'd expect him to see it in around 12 hours.

I've gotten much faster responses when I sent him something via the "Contact" link. Also, sometimes he has a reason for not responding in the public forum.
If you click the header NAME it will go A-Z or click again Z-A
but if you click any other header "Stories, Last Update, New Story, ect.. ect.." then the list order will change for the header choice.
I hope I my explaination makes sense.
I changed the 'author following' system a couple of days ago.
I guess I introduced the wrong order bug. Fixed.
Now the followed authors list has granular controls for followed authors notifications, which is coming.
The system will soon have notifications by email for New Story posts, New Chapter posts (You get a digest or like a newsletter listing posts by followed authors). Sets permission for authors to send messages directly to their followers private message inbox and notifications about new blogs into the private messages inbox on the site.
The default is send only 'new story' postings and only once per week.
Frequency settings are 'never', 'once per month', 'once per week' and 'daily'.
I needed to provide the controls to readers before things start showing up.
For those who replied about things still the same, premier users get a different following list that free users. OP is a free user.
