Yesterday the reset time skipped forward 24 hours without doing the reset.
Today the reset time has passed, but again no reset.
And the reset time did not change.

I get off the plane and check the site, and I find this. It doesn't happen before I travel, but during.
For some reason, one function related to a third party site is failing and it happens before the counter reset and the rest of the script failed.
I've moved the third party function to the end of the script and now the counters resetter is working again.
Most definitely! I spent some time the other day trying to visualize the server farm needed to host all the stories while supplying response times that keep most of the host pacified. As a former sysadmin I think I have a grasp of what our beloved Webmaster has to go through to keep this set of wonderful sites up and running. "You're a better man than I, Gunga Din!"
It seems to be working correctly today. Thanks for all you do to keep SoL up and running.
Of course, being incommunicado is one of the prerequisites for something to go wrong.
