Hey- There are times that I would like to not see the output of some writers in the stream. Wondering if the random story filter (or a new filter) could be applied to the stream view.

The stream is cached and will never be filtered. I keep it as a safety for when authors change stories codes (and cause them to disappear for some readers) or some other criteria changes on the site.
The stream is a combination of three available lists on the site. If you need filtering, then the new stories and updates lists are filtered.
