thanks for the tip. But it seems these options premier member only.
A free member only gets to choose between:
a) Author Name: Story Title: Chapter xx
b) Story Title by Author Name: Chapter xx
If you choose option a) like I did you seem to get _ instead of nothing (behaviour until Monday) because : is a forbidden character and Windows substitute them with an underscore.

Sorry, I saw download in your post. You are in fact just saving the chapter page current DOM. The problems is due to the : in the title. You could run a script at the console to modify the title before saving.

document.title = document.title.replace(/:/g,' ');

the illegal char in windows are < : > " / | ? *
For FAT32, add ^
For One drive you need to add , # & ~ to the list.

So the correct sanitization if you want to avoid any _ or sync issues would be

document.title = document.title.replace(/\:|\"|\/|\\|\?|\*|\^|\,|\#|\&|\~/g,' ');

Note that firefox own sanitisation will replace multiple space by a single space.

< and > not included in the regexp due to forum security restrictions.

Now it ads - to all blanc spaces and writes everthimg in lower-case and the title ist cut-off. Only the chapter number is still in the filename.
Both would the before and after the hack versions. I was just spucked by the sudden change over night.

I didn't mean you or the site as such did something wrong.
I just wanted to express my feeling of beenig surprised that for me from going to bed and the next time I'm online something seemed to be going wrong and I couldn't figure out why.
