each time I log in there is normally a different entry at the top of the home page, the 'random' story.
I was wondering how/when this was refreshed and if there was any way to customise this? premiere member if that makes a lick of difference or not.

It changes every two hours. It's as random as possible.

You can't customize the box on the home page, but by clicking 'More' in its title bar, you can have the system pull 10 random stories from the database for you. You can set some preferences for the 10 results. As usual, all links to preferences pages are in the 'My Account' page.
thanks, I knew about the 'more' feature but not the 2hr clock. I did guess there was some sort of chronological 'advance' to it but had no idea of the 'step'
