I'm on iOS/Safari. From the author page https://storiesonline.net/author/, when I tap Favorite Stories, I instead go to the Pen Names Manager page, which is the next link after it. And yes, I'm being very careful about the target I'm tapping.

That happened to me recently (on my Mac). Although it says "Create New Pen Name" on the bottom, click on the heart to manage your favorites. It's very confusing.
Yes it is, and unnecessary, given you choose which pen name to use on the actual edit favorites page.
Yeah, the UI needs some work.
Do you guys really not explore a web page you visit often? Really?
If icons exist, then they have a purpose, otherwise Lazeez wouldn't have put them there...!
So hover over stuff, click and see what it does. Explore. Add to your knowledge base. Maybe think of it as a CYOA in a safe environment.
An intuitive interface is good, one that spoon feeds the user is unnecessary.
An intuitive interface is good
Intuitive? The author clicks on "Edit Favorite Stories List." The next screen basically says "Create New Pen Name." The author was expecting to edit their favorite stories list.
The icons are things like the blog and stats. I guess they're short-cuts to the Account Manager tools. The "Manage Favorite Stories List" (heart) is one of the short-cuts. BUT…
But you got here by clicking on "Edit Favorite Stories List." You're basically having to click that twice (once to get to this screen and then the heart).
It's definitely not intuitive. I remember thinking I clicked on the wrong button when I saw "Create New Pen Name." I didn't plan on clicking on something to manage my pen names. I clicked on something to manage my favorite stories list. I went back and forth several times until I ended up hovering the mouse over the icons desperately looking for something to help me do what I wanted.
I actually think it's a bug. From the Author's Resource screen, clicking on "Pen Names" and "Edit Favorite Stories List" takes you to the same screen. I think there's a link error in the HTML.
