I needed to use the overall "Turn comments ON for ALL stories to get reader comments allowed on my newest two stories. (This is working.)
The Problem:
On the Author's individual Manage Stories pages, the Show/Hide Comments option doesn't work as expected, and is confusing.
If comments are "hidden" then they cannot be submitted. What is the point of "hiding" nothing?
What would be better:
Next to this: "✏️ Reader Voting: Allowed / Not Allowed" --in the same section of each "Manage Story" page--instead have this toggle, as follows.
✏️ Reader Comments: Allowed / Not Allowed
I hope this proposal will be accepted.
