I don't know if this would work best told by the mom or by the eldest daughter.
Here is the scenario I'm envisioning and if you want to offer some suggestions or even write this with me;
A single mother raises in three kids in downtown Los Angeles. (Or whatever big city)
She has a son and two daughters.
She is a stripper and they know this. It's how she's been able to put food on the table since they were little
Now that the eldest is 18, she has expressed an interest in working at the club with her mom
"I would really rather you didn't. I'd be a pretty big hypocrite though if I forbid you to do what I do. I'd rather you learn the ropes from me rather than go to a different club, and get taken advantage of. Club owners and customers are going to eat you alive if they think you are naive"
" Im not naive"
" I thought the same thing at your age. Then the owner tricked me into thinking he was going to buy me a boob job and all I had to do was give him an extra $100 a night for the first 6 months of working for him. He turned out to be a total liar"
" Yeah but you got the boob job"
" Not from Brent... Anyway, the other thing you have to agree on is that I'm the boss when we're there. I don't want you getting drunk or high with the other girls"
" We can get high at work?"
" I just said, I don't want you doing that"
" I know but isn't it cool that you could get drunk or high at work?"
" This is why I don't want you doing this. You aren't listening"
" No, I'll listen. I'm sorry"
" Okay, the other thing is if people find out that you're my daughter, they're going to want you to dance with me"
" So? We dance around here all the time"
" No, not like that"
" Yeah, we'll be naked but what's the big deal?"
" They will want us to dance very close and touch each other"
" Gross!!"
" See? The first time some guy offers you money for something weird or creepy you are going to freak out"
" It's just, dance with you like, touch each other?"
"Honey, a lot of my private dances are with another girl. That's how I make money. Do you want to come to the club or no"
And the story progresses through the introduction of rival dancers, friendly dancers who are really our for themselves, creepy regulars, big bouncer, pervy dj, etc
