Are there any Stan Rogers fans here? There's a song called "The Mary Ellen Carter". The story is of a ship that sinks. The insurance wants to write it off, but the crew wants to salvage it. The songs tells the story of the salvage, but ends, "tomorrow we hit the air and take up the strain" and effectively see what happens. We never know what happens after that.
I think somebody should write the story.
